Prompting: Part XV
Giggles at the Palace
sherlockbbc_fic
Please check the Sticky Post to find the newest active part and post your prompts there.

Prompts from this post can be filled on the Overflow Post

GENERAL GUIDELINES
+Anon posting is most definitely allowed, but not required.
+All kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance--whatever. Go wild! :D
+Keep things neat! Read prompts before you post to see if something similar has already been done, and while you are encouraged to prompt as much as you like, try to fill as well.
+Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.
+RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.
+Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments.
+However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. Also at 7000, after the freeze a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.
+Multiple fills are encouraged! :) Just because a prompt has already been claimed or written by someone, do not be afraid to offer up a second fill.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
There's a link to this at the bottom of the post. I ask that if the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, please make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort.
Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mod would be happy to explain.

CONTACTING MODS
Your mods for this meme are snowishness and marill_chan. If you have any questions, concerns, comments about anything at all on the meme feel free to send a PM or contact us via the page-a-mod post.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for triggery prompts (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.
You are highly encouraged to scroll right past a prompt that you dislike.

Remember, guys; Be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

(Anonymous)
cute enough to shoot you down (jumperfucker) wrote,

in conclusion.
Well, consulting_detective's finally asleep next to me (good thing too; he's been wide awake for two days), so I guess I can tune in here and tell you everything that's happened recently. I'd like to thank everyone who's commented on the BBC 'verse for the last two days; we were rather anxious about the result, and the feedback has been amazing. I'm currently going through the comments and answering them, but we've been pretty busy IRL, so don't worry if we're late in answering! but you should know that we love you anyway. :D

We're all moved in, finally — I don't have much myself, but consulting_detective is the most chaotic bloke ever. (Seriously, why am I even surprised?) We've barely been here a week and you can scarcely see the flat under the mass of books and papers and chemical equipment he's keeping here. Shame, because it's a charming place — a bit old-fashioned, we've got an actual fireplace and the Most Amazing Tinted Glass Door between the kitchen and the living-room. So many doors we've got. There're doors everywhere.

The general layout looks a bit like the 221B rooms in the Granada!series, funnily enough; 's pretty much the same outline. We're sleeping in the room upstairs, next to the bathroom, in what would be the equivalent to Watson's room, and what would be Holmes' room we've agreed to turn into a bureau for the evenings, so that 1. I can write and blog on a real desk, not the coffee table, and 2. he doesn't contaminate the kitchen with his ~experiments.

Seeing as we've just spent the last seven evenings snogging on the couch, though, the bureau might just become the storage room for all the weird stuff he brings home. He brings home a lot of weird stuff.

Our poor, doomed kitchen.

God, I make it sound horrible. It's not — it's really quite fantastic, I'm just not quite over the shock yet. Our housekeeper (sorry, landlady) is wonderful, the flat is great, and my boyfriend is an arrogant, amazing genius. We're rather stupidly in love, and he's probably going to get us both killed one of these days. What could possibly go wrong?

Also, I've just realized that he's taken advantage of my dozing off earlier to draw tentacle!porn on my good shoulder, so I guess it's time for me to close the laptop and go scribble some mawkish fluff drabble on his bum now.

(A lovely little bum he's got.)

ETA: John, if this is your idea of a punishment, it's really quite faulty. I can't even read what you've written, and I doubt you'd like anyone but yourself to be able to see my naked arse.

Also, I find your What could possibly go wrong little bout of sarcasm quite challenging, for the record.

ETA2: It wasn't sarcasm. I really do believe we're going to survive this quite magnificently. Possibly by blowing up London. Or the Internet. Or both.

ETA3: Also, stop hacking into my account.

ETA4: It's not hacking if I know your password. It was ridiculously easy to deduce.

ETA5: Shh. Come here.

i've pretty much all but deanoned on this already, but i'll be editing and cleaning it up and posting it to my fic journal sometime next week after my finals have finished killing me. i'm sort of planning on making several of the links go live, so that might be fun. :D i think someone asked whether they could make a round-up of this, and i can't find that comment, but: yeah, sure!

also, just so you all know — i adore the way this fic has turned into a collective 'verse; i've flailed like a grinning fool when i've seen all the journal accounts that have been opened up, or holmeschat, or raggedyhipster's latest Lestrade-centric fic o' fic. and the brilliant icons. it's been amazing, and i've had the time of my life writing this. i've seen people refer to this as a love letter to fandom, and you know, i think it really is, i just hadn't realized it when i started writing. i love sherlock fandom, i do, i do; i hope i've been able to give you back some of that. &hearts

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

You have? I want to know who you are, damn it!

Whoever you are, I love you. <3 <3 <3
So many ascii hearts for you, my dear. This fic was just incredible fun to read. Please do put it up in your fic journal; it will make it much easier to rec to people, which of course I want to do as much as possible.

This is one of those rare fics that I hate, hate, hate to see end. I wish it could go on forever. :)

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

I'm going to post these in a comment to the initial prompt but I thought I'd give you the option of doing so yourself. If you want the code for this, I can give it to you in a text box.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

BEAUTIFUL!

They're so sweet together Iw ant to snuggle them. And very very clever with the BBC verse. I know technically we watched it but now i want to READ it as written by jumperfucker.

Oh all right I'll admit it. I just want to read the sex scenes...

The meta was wonderful and so are you! You deserve the explosion this fic caused in fandom, the styles, the layout the characters and the exerpts were all amazing. Seriously, to change styles SO many times, adapting to the different ficlets and the different ways of communications, now THAT'S writing.

So I applaud you, I hug you and I'd buy you a drink.

Thank you

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. JUST. WAH.

I love this meta fic so much I am going to marry it.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

This is one of the most amazing things to have happened to this fandom. It's going to make history.

YES, THAT.

I get a bit emotional thinking about this, and I don't even know why. It's just - I think you're right, I think it's a love letter to fandom. And I didn't realise how much I loved fandom 'til this. I've been reccing the hell out of it. Thank you for sharing, you beautiful anon.

(I cannot believe you're still anon! Then again, fandom would probably come be all crazy and adoring at you. Still, impressive. I would not be able to resist pointing and saying "I DID THIS, IT'S MIIIIIINE") <3

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

I think my heart and brain just exploded. GOD WHY IS IT OVER.
But it's been amazing. You, my dear, are amazing.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

This has been a very fun read, and I certainly look forward to the polished version (oh, and you have tempt us more with making several links go live!), which I will then make a proper rec (again - heh) to everyone and their pets. Thank you so much for writing this wonderful story! :)

I cannot believe how fantastic this is, and that it's finished, but since it's spawning RP, and backup documents and comms and everything, it won't be over fully for a long time yet. This will be a fandom legend for years to come, and well-deserved. You're brilliant and I look forward to stalking the hell out of you when you de-anon (If I'm not already doing so in which case I'll be stalking you harder)

PS I missed the unofficial deanon entirely, so I'm going insane trying to guess who you are, and if I turn out to be right I will be insufferably smug.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

Mind is boggled. Delight is complete.

(Mycroft says "nterall it's" - It's not all? Oh, good!)

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

This fic has been brilliant and engaging. There's so much that I think this has brought to the fandom and the meme. It casts our favorite characters in a new light, but also situates them in a place which we, as an fanbase, are uncommonly familiar. Congratulations on your fill, it really is so much more than that.

I always think I can't fall in love with this any more. And then you post another part. Just ASGHSGAGHDAFJHAGSJH!!! (Irene put it more eloquently then I can right now.)

But I not only love what you did with that fic but what this fic has done to this fandom. I've spent the whole day writing a fandom round up (something I never do.. I normally don't have the mind to really do rec posts and the likes - other people do that way better then I) on my tumblr and every time I came back to this thread to snatch links and names from the comments, there was new stuff to discover. It's just.. woah.

And while I'm talking about my round up: I am plucking stuff out of this thread. If there is anything connected to this fic that is not mentioned in this thread, I'd be very thankful for anyone who could point me into the right direction.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (epilogue, d)

Thank you thank you thank you so much, I love this fic for the first to the last word, and GOD, you're quite amazing! I wish there were more fics like yours, 'cause... Oh I've no words.
Thank you again, you don't know but you're helping me improving my english :D So please WRITE MORE ;_; <333 *hugs and gives chocolates and strawberries *w*
