Prompting: Part XV
Giggles at the Palace
sherlockbbc_fic
Please check the Sticky Post to find the newest active part and post your prompts there.

Prompts from this post can be filled on the Overflow Post

GENERAL GUIDELINES
+Anon posting is most definitely allowed, but not required.
+All kinds of fills are accepted! Fic, art, vids, cosplay, interpretive dance--whatever. Go wild! :D
+Keep things neat! Read prompts before you post to see if something similar has already been done, and while you are encouraged to prompt as much as you like, try to fill as well.
+Please do not re-post prompts unless the last time they were prompted was on an older part. Simply put: ONE posting of each prompt per part.
+RPF (real person fic, i.e. fic involving the actors themselves) is not supported at this meme.
+Depending on the rate of activity, there may or may not be a prompt freeze when a part reaches 2000 and 4500 comments.
+However, there will be one when it reaches 7000. Also at 7000, after the freeze a new part will be posted, and all prompting should happen on the new part.
+Multiple fills are encouraged! :) Just because a prompt has already been claimed or written by someone, do not be afraid to offer up a second fill.

THE FILLED PROMPTS POST
There's a link to this at the bottom of the post. I ask that if the part you wanted isn't up yet, just wait and one of the archivists will get to it, but please, once it is up, please make sure you post your fills there according to the guidelines. DO NOT skip out on doing this because it seems like too much effort.
Do not be afraid to ask questions about how it works if you are confused! The mod would be happy to explain.

CONTACTING MODS
Your mods for this meme are snowishness and marill_chan. If you have any questions, concerns, comments about anything at all on the meme feel free to send a PM or contact us via the page-a-mod post.

WARNINGS/OFFENSIVE WORDING IN PROMPTS
Please consider warning for triggery prompts (and also for fills, because some people read in flat view) and phrasing prompts in a manner that strives to be respectful.

Things which you might want to consider warning for include: Rape/Non-Con, Death, Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Harm, Underage Relationships, among others.

That being said, this is a kink meme. As such, there will be prompts that could offend you in a number of different ways. Not every prompt will have a trigger warning, and not every prompt will rub you the right way. If you have an issue with a specific prompt, feel free to bring it up in a discussion that takes place off the meme. However, flaming will not be tolerated regardless of origin.
You are highly encouraged to scroll right past a prompt that you dislike.

Remember, guys; Be civil, be friendly, but don’t be shy!

The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

(Anonymous)
ETA: Oh my god. Okay, I know I said I wouldn't log back in to tell you stupid stuff, but oh my god. There's this guy. Was in the first panel, the Doctor Who one, sitting in the back and sulking for some reason, and I couldn't get a good look at him, but now he's just passed by our table and looked at us with a look of sheer, utter scorn —and oh my god you guys he's gorgeous. Tall and pale with dark, curly hair and grey, grey eyes. Thin as a rod and rocking the suit, shit looks modeled. He looks completely out of place in a con; he should be up showing off Dior outfits on a stage, or something. I wouldn't mind me a piece of that.

(I mean, hell, guys, what's a bloke to say? even Sarah was licking her lips at his (ridiculously adorable) backside. Damn.)

*poke*
...
apparently not.
well, uh. I just wanted to say, you know, i'm at the con right now, and i was wondering
oh anyway forget it, you're probably working today or something, you wouldn't come at cons
uh
right
so anyway, i'll talk to you later i guess

cute enough to shoot you down (jumperfucker) wrote,

Okay, well, we're having room service in Bill's room right now, and we might be going for drinks later with a nice group of people we met at the Q&A, so we're all checking out our email inboxes on the two netbooks we're sharing, and I can tell you all about this afternoon.

The Q&A went well — it was really funny, the cast kept cracking inside jokes we didn't know the first thing about, and they didn't mind having their pictures taken afterwards, so we'll have a nice little diorama for you all later this week. No Rachel McAdams, as expected. Me and Mike went all D: at them.

hey wouldn't tell us much about the sequel at all, also as expected, but we had a long laugh about RDJ in drag, which is apparently really going to happen. Ready your knickers, girls and boys. There was a moment when he nearly stepped off the stage to show us — 'anyone got a spare skirt? one of the gentlemen in the first row, maybe?' — but JL pulled him back and said something in his ear, and RDJ just sort of started laughing like a loon and tossed his arm around his shoulders, and then stayed like that for the rest of the Q&A. They're not even trying to harsh our squee, are they?

Still, that was fun, and the Doctor Who panel earlier was quite good — 's all got to do with Arthur Darvill in a suit, I reckon. My god the man scrubs up well. Moffat was busy being very sneaky and mysterious, but he did drop a few spoilers about the second half of the season, which sarah_s is posting here. Last I checked, the comments count is rising fast, so get thee there quick, before the party is over!

Speaking of pretty men in suits, Tall, Pale and Gorgeous was at the Q&A this afternoon — sitting in the back fiddling with his phone where the ushers couldn't see — and he did ask a question. Baritone, slow and deep, amazing, hmmm.

Apparently, I have a voice kink. That's very new.

(And now I really hope he's not in fandom, reading this and laughing at me behind his screen. Hello, stranger.)

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

oh, you do know how to string us along so delightfully. Very enjoyable section!

You have got to post this off-meme when it's done, even if you have to make a sock just for this because it's the most fucking amazing thing I've read in my life and the whole fandom needs to read it.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

Oh hallo, new favorite WIP. :D Watching this show up piece by piece in my inbox was delightful.

The humor, the snark, the meta, the formatting, everything about this is amazing. ^___^

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

I love this to little tiny bits. OMG, it's perfect. And I desperately wish those links were working - every one of them.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

I flailed with glee when I saw there was more of this. Deducing John! Tall, Pale and Gorgeous! I want them to meet so badly. This is amazing and I can't wait for more.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

This continues to be brilliant and so very clever. I seriously cannot wait for the next part.
I lolled so hard when after Sherlock deduces him, John just types "I" and accidentally hits send. Happens to me all the time.
Also, I love that they're all drooling over that gorgeous, tall guy. <3

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

I love you, Anon. You and your glorious fanfic of cracky crackydom. MARRY ME. Fandom-marry me.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

You have no idea how often I have been checking this thing for updates

And how excited I was to see one.

Eeeeeee! Tall Dark and Handsome! Go for it John!

Have been having so much fun trying to figure out which username is which character. Thanks to the final PMs I'm now only down to one I'm not absolutely certain about. But I think neveryou_again is Mrs Hudson. Am I right?

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

As soon as I saw this in my inbox, I nearly freak! \o/ I kind of want to quote what I love, but that would be the quoting the whole thing and gah this is just so amazing <3.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

I think the sound I made when I got to the end of this was something like uaassgajksgfjkhkfkfjjflsdj!!!!!!!

I want to know more. I want John to find out who the guy in the suit is. Can't wait for the next bit. :)

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

Omg. This is killing me, in a good way. Grinning from ear to ear during John's con post.

I just realized why I have trouble reading people's livejournals. It's the uncomfortable awareness that these are real people's 'diaries' complete with their opinions and rants and hurt feelings and embarrassments. So this fic is like, all the fan fun and voyeuristic fascination, but none of the real-life discomfort. I love it.

Re: The Theory of Narrative Causality (2g/5ish)

Oh my giddy giddy gosh, I have no words. No. Words. This is INCREDIBLE AHJKBVJFD JVADBVJBSJJKD KJSHDJKbxhbd. Oh my god. The noise I made when I got to the end and realised there was no more, ugh. CANNOT COPE. This is completely stupendous and wonderful and amazing, okay? Good.
